You’re invited to our largest annual event: a breakfast for dinner scholarship fundraiser for local Barnard students. It’s a fun spin on the beloved Midnight Breakfast event Lisa Lin '98 created as a student. Join alumnae, families, guests, and current students (who eat free on us!) at Mel‘s Drive-In in downtown SF.

Enjoy your choice of meals, including kids’ meals and milkshakes, while mingling with your Barnard community. Play trivia to win cool Barnard prizes!

Gluten-free, Vegan, and Vegetarian options will be available.

What is the BCNC Scholarship Fund?

The Barnard Club of Northern California Scholarship Fund is funded by the Club and administered by Barnard College. Each year, a Barnard student from our area receives a scholarship to help pay for her Barnard education. We'd love to give larger or additional scholarships, so we need your help!

Is there a children's menu?

Yes, we will offer a kids' menu for children aged 10 and younger.

How do I get to Mel's Drive-in?

Mel's Drive-in is located at 801 Mission Street at 4th Street in San Francisco. Parking is available at Mission and 5th Street and the nearest Muni/BART Station is Powell Street.

Is there a discount for young alumnae?

Alumnae from the classes of 2009 - 2019 receive $10 off an alumna ticket with the code YABFAST20.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Yes, we will sell alumna and guest tickets for $50 and children tickets for $20 at the door. Payment will be by cash or personal check to the Barnard Club of Northern California.

Is my ticket tax deductible?

The cost of an adult (alumna or guest) ticket includes a $30 tax-deductible contribution to the Barnard Club of Northern California Scholarship Fund. The cost of a child ticket includes a $11.50 tax-deductible contribution to the Barnard Club of Northern California Scholarship Fund. Please contact the BCNC if you would like paperwork for your taxes.
